Swing Dancing at Mutual

I love having Scouts around all the time, they are so funny! What a difference between boys and girls! Scott had scouts on Wed. and told the boys to be on time for joint activity the next week. The boys said what are we doing, he said..................um................paintballing. The boys cheered!
So on Sunday some boys came up to Scott and said "some of the girls said we are learning swing dancing on Wed???? Im not dancing!" All the boys argued with Scott and Brandon through the next couple days it was so funny! Marinda was not too excited at first! Look at her with her hands in her sweatshirt! What a stinker!
Scott said it took no time at all and all the kids were laughing and having tonz of fun!

And then there is Austin and Sam who couldn't wait for Wednesday! Wed. night after dinner:
Mom: Hey Austin why don't you brush your teeth and hair, your going to be dancing with girls tonight.
Austin: so?
Mom: So you shouldn't smell, no girl wants to dance with a smelly boy.
Austin: Im going to dance with Sam, she is like my best friend, she doesn't care!
Mom: Oh Austin, Im so glad I won't have to worry about you having a girlfriend for a long time!

Derek lucked out and got Alexis to dance with! All that complaining for nothing!
Oh and Scott has been snowmobiling 4 times since his avalanche.

This Weekend

The boys are back. Scott's best friend from high school, Eric Fowles came to town for the weekend. He has been a bush pilot in Alaska for the last four years. Scott has only gotten to see him once a year if that. It was fun to catch up! This picture was on New Years Day 93, they did the polar bear ski here in Tricities.

Jocelyn got a lot of sugar daddy's from Aunt Gina and Grandma and the kids had fun with thier sugar daddy art.

Stuff

Austin and Rin spent a lot of time at Howard Amon park feeding the squirrels, they are getting big and only have fun on the toys for a short time..........tear. Austin has now officially gotten all the signatures to begin his Eagle Project! Yeah, that only took us 5 months! I can see now how this last part of scouting can be so time consuming in that you do a lot of waiting. We will see how old he is when its actually finished, could be 17 and three quarters! :)
Marinda has been having a lot of melt downs lately. She cries a lot and thinks she is very unfairly treated. I had a scout meeting the same night as her choir concert and told her that Dad and Grandma and Grandpa were going to it and I was going to the meeting and she fell apart. I said of course I can go to your concert if you want me to (but in the back of my mind it seems funny because I do EVERYTHING with the kids and am around them 24/7 and really don't feel the love like the love they show Scott when he goes to their stuff) so I guess they really do like me to go cheer for them, which is my favorite thing to do! The concert was perfect and Marinda did great! Derek was playing guitar for Mr. Polk's class so we got to see him perform too.
Eric still says he NEEDS to move back to Othello on the farm because there is not enough dirt here. He made himself a little patch of heaven on the side of the house, our neighbors love us! He has been spending a lot of time in his hole, he has dug many different holes and tunnels. He says the day he gets off his mission he is moving back to Othello.

We went to EatzaPizza for the first time ever for Chance's birthday party! The kids loved it! Here is Chance pretending to shove his cupcake into Scott's face, or so we thought!

Avery has been begging for her kindergarten shots since Joc got hers, so the day finally came! Joc stood next to the Dr. the whole time and laid her doll next to Avery and copied everything he did to her. It was quite adorable, the Dr. didn't seem too annoyed. Avery got four shots and cried a little on the last stingy one but was very brave. She has been wearing clothes a little better lately. We have the routine down. I pull her out of bed, wet her hair, put her clothes on as fast as I can while she is saying "these are ignoring me" I said you mean annoying you? She said NO IGNORING ME! ???? So she screams as I take her downstairs and put her at the table with her breakfast all ready for her and cartoons on. She cries a lot, eats a little, and is a little distracted by the tv while I get her coat and backpack ready then we put the socks and shoes on REALLY fast because thats when the biggest fight starts and then I put her in the car and say the whole way "I know they bother you, Im sorry, you can take them off as soon as you get home" While she screams, kicks and argues with everything I say. She gets out of the car, wipes her tears, glares at me and skips happily into preschool! ???? Little stinker!
Jocelyn has been wheezing a little and having allergy symptoms when its windy. She heard me telling Scott I will cry if she has allergies like Eric. So she got all worried and asked me all about it, and that whole week everything she ate or touched she asked me if she was allergic to it. I told her it was just a cold so she wouldn't worry. Then the other night she was sitting by Austin and she did something that made him mad and he pinched her and she said "Austin you know I have allergies!"

Scott's Night

So exciting! Scott got this award tonight! Out of all the leaders in the district MY husband is Scout Master of the Year! :)

Another tooth for the Tooth Fairy! Jocelyn got to put her tooth in the special box Grandma Marty gave her! She was so happy, she said she wants to loose them all so she can have lots of money.

More scrapbooking

Here are some pics from a mutual activity they did last year. I just scrapbooked them and was laughing at Scott and Tanner wearing nylons over their jeans! And all the boys wearing a dress running in high heels!

We were so proud of Austin and his Holocaust project he made. He was very humbled learning about it for this last month. We have had a lot of discussions about things I wouldn't want to talk to my kids about but was very impressed with their maturity.

Avery doesn't sleep much but when she does we all just adore her! Isn't she precious!

Marinda cracks me up!
Marinda: I decided Im going to adopt 3 kids. 2 girls 1 boy. One of them I want to be a red head so how do I get a redhead Mom?
Mom: Marry a redhead.
Marinda: No like what two colors will make a red head, like red and blue make purple so........... (thinking about what she just said) ................... we all started laughing! :)

Cool Whip

I don't like inside animals, I think they are gross. When Avery got older and I wasn't pregnant or had a newborn the kids really started pushing the idea of a pet besides a fish. We really wanted a puppy but they are so much work that we settled for a kitten named Suzy, we kept for for a couple weeks and realized we weren't ready and gave her to my sister Gina. Then a while later tried again with Lola, she didn't last long, she pooped on my rug in my bathroom and she was given to my friend Suzy (no relation to the kitten Suzy). So then came Cool Whip. I have fallen madly in love with this dumb cat. She has been inside a lot this winter and now thinks she is an inside cat instead of a garage cat. My kids adore her and she is sooooo laid back and lets them all torture her. She really is sweet. I guess Im giving in and can say we have an inside family pet. Gross

Tent slumber party with cousin Kylee.

Jocelyn makes up songs everyday! Here is one I got on video.
