Robin Hood

Austin is finally about done with the play.  I can't believe how excited I am to have him done with drama and come home RIGHT after school each day.  Since school has started he has been at play practice until 5 and some weeks until 10 pm.  There was only one week off between plays this year.  He will not be doing the last play of the year and he is very excited to have some down time, I call it homework time.  The play was great, he did wonderful.  He plays Riccon, a bad guy, we colored his hair to match his character and facial hair.  He will have his last three shows this coming weekend.

Marinda and Emily.  They were backstage workers.  Marinda was over props.  She loved it, she didn't have practice even half as much as Austin did and so it was a nice amount of play time.

This is Caleb, opening night he got stabbed in the foot with a sheath.  It went right through his boot and his foot.  It was only the 4th scene, so he missed the rest of the play hanging out in the ER.  He got it all cleaned up and wrapped up and made it through the Saturday performance with a limp.  They just changed around a few scenes when he was supposed to run.   None of us knew about it until the play was over so it's a little funny to hear all the drama and blood that was going on "behind the curtain" that we all missed.

He looks so serious.  He was liking the way he looked with facial hair, I told him too bad you will never have any if your like your Dad.  :)

We went for a walk Sunday..... it was almost warm enough.
The other day Avery asked if I would have a staring contest with her.  She was so happy when I said yes, she said "I love having staring contests, it's not as much fun when no one will play with me and I have to play with the mirror.... because I always win...... and lose.

At school I did it!  I took my girl with the perm bob and gave her this lovely A-Line.  So cute!

At our assembly this month I got lots of awards!  Im still holding my 98 percent GPA overall.  The girls in my class call me a brown noser and say Im so fakey, they said "no one can be happy all the time".  They say things like,  "how do you talk nice to everyone, why do you pretend to like people that bug you".... and then I told them that no one bugs me and I can't think of anyone I don't like and that made them more annoyed.  So that day when I gave them all a jolly rancher for our afternoon snack, I didn't even smile at them.  It seemed to make them happier.

Who lives for the drums?  ERIC, this boy is constantly beating on everything in front of him.  He LOVES band.  LOVES the drums!  Comes home straight from school to get on Youtube and watch video's of drummers he can sit and play with.  To practice he has to go out to the storage shed to play the one little drum he has out there but it doesn't seem to stop him.  Rin is usually out there playing the piano anyway.....  He is getting so good and even has drum sticks that light up.  Super fun to watch him play!

Thank you Huger Games for making me catch Marinda in her room reading!  All by herself!  She had a teacher read the first half of it to the class and then they ran out of time so all the kids went home and finished it but whenever Rin would try it was too noisy in the house and by the end of the day her dyslexia gets the best of her.  But some sweet girls at play practice would read it to her during down time, and they finished the first book.  Now I keep finding her reading the second book.  Im so excited for her.  We can all remember that first book that got us hooked on reading.  She is definitely team Peeta.  Silly.

March

2 months done!  I will be moving up next week from the Freshman class to the Sophomore class.  My doll head #1 has been getting shorter, and shorter, and shorter.  It's so much fun.  We have done so much and Im still happy to report I just finished my last test (which was supposed to be the hardest this phase) with a 100%.  YES!  School is still a treat each day with the exception of Saturdays..... well they are fun at school but it's hard to have the kids home alone.  They met me last Saturday for my hour lunch break which made it a little better.  It will be nice in 2 more months when I will be on the floor and can have them come in and cut their hair and do their nails just so I can spend time with them.  They have not complained and have been very good troopers, they don't mind all the tv watching they have been getting in or time in their pj's on the couch.

 Shorter
Super short.
This doll is done.  She has been buzzed and is now the kids' toy, they put her places all the time so when you walk into a room we all scream, they put her in my bed with blankets and pillows the other night and she scared the bajeebers out of Scott.  Funny.

Well they released me from Cub Scouts.  I will miss those wolves.  I was so sad and don't really think anyone should be doing scouts with them but me, but I guess it's time to put away the bucket of duct tape, nails, dirt, and tools and trade it for my sparkly  box with pretty things in it since they put me in with the Miamaids in Young Women's.  Marinda and I made some divinity for my lesson Sunday.

Austin and his friend wrote a song, they made the music and then wrote the lyrics and Austin made this cd cover and they are going to make a whole cd.  I told him he was crazy and to stick to one talent at a time (dream crusher).  But he came home yesterday all excited telling me the choir teacher at school listened to their song and wants them to perform it at the next concert.......  Is it bad that me and Marinda are begging him not to?
