Summer Stuff

The kids loved their muddy obstacle course for mutual!   And Scott and the leaders had a good time too!

HE IS HOME!  Eric sent us some pictures while he was in Idaho, told me not to worry, he was making sure he was working hard and eating well.  He brought home a scary knife he was so excited about.
When Joel sent this knife picture I asked where his helmet was.

Girls day with MOM!
Jocelyn and Avery spent the entire day at the salon with me.  I gave them each a mani, pedi, scalp treatment and fixed their hair.  They were so much fun it was pretty much the best day of school I have had!  They are just starting to ask me not to go in the mornings, Rin needed a break from them for the day too so it helped us all out.

This is what the kids brought me after a walk through Lynn Olsen's garden.  YUM

July

We allowed Rin to turn 16.  Not really but she did it anyway.

She went on a date with Jory, it was both their first dates.  It was Wed. night so they went out to eat after mutual..... with Austin & Sam.... heehehehee at least Scott, me, Nicki, and Jory didn't go.  That was our first idea that they didn't like.
Before the dance that weekend some girls came over before and had cake with her and Scott got her a phone, she LOVES it.  I can't wait to ground her from it.

The girls keep catching lizards.  They were catching a bunch of bugs and playing with creepy crawly things all day the other day and then Avery ended up in our bed that night and kept screaming out about bugs getting her, I used to do that with ants when I was little so I thought it was funny.

I got my man doll at school, Im so proud that I have made it half way through summer!  I told the kids at the start that if they started to fall apart I would take a month off and then just push my graduation date back a month.  We decided we would just take it one day at a time.  The only 3 days I have needed a sitter (while Rin was at girl's camp, Eric at band) it happened to rain and Austin was home from work.  Suzy also took them one day to paint at her house and be all crafty, which they LOVED!  So far so good, everything keeps falling into place and working out so that I can keep going and not miss..... so far....
The kids love to put my manikins in funny places and scare the gageebers out of me, it was funny to hear Scott scream like a girl when he got home and went upstairs.

I love this pic, we get tired sometimes at school....  One more month and we can say we are half way done, we are getting the middle of the journey blues that is for sure!  We just moved up again and Im now on the floor 4 days a week.  I do a lot of things I didn't think I could.  Im learning so much each day and getting more and more confident with each haircut.  My kids are happy that the haircuts I give them are getting better also!  :)

Eric has left us and moved in with Scott's brother Joel & Mic in Idaho, he is supposed to be weeding and picking rocks and working like a slave but the pictures we keep getting say otherwise!  He is having a lot of fun!!!  They will bring him home at the reunion in August, if I can go that long without him, I might have to sneak down there and pick him up early!
Austin is gone on and off in Oregon working.  He really enjoys the apt. with the guys and feels very grown up and independent.  We will see if that is a good or bad thing come school senior year and 18th bday time.......  Yikes.
Scott has been a tiny bit slow on the grass planting.  He moves some dirt, looks at it for a few days, then moves it again..... repeat, repeat, repeat.  I know he just likes to play in the tractor and comes in each night so happy, so I won't complain.
Austin and Caleb went out during one of the storms and would laugh when they were right on.  They would lift their swords and the lighting would strike at that moment.  They are pretty sure they rule the universe.

Summer

Yes that is grass!  It's so precious... I love to water it and try to protect it from the wind and chase away the birds that try to eat the grass seeds......
Our birds are getting so big so fast!  Mom, click on the picture so you can see it big, the fuzz on their little heads is so cute!

Pictures I find on my phone....
 Jocelyn on our walk.
Eric has been in summer band, the bus comes and gets him, they feed him breakfast, he gets to play the drums (his favorite thing) and then they feed him lunch and bus him home!  It has been the BEST!  He got to play in the parade for the 4th of July.  I loved the parade this year!

Sweet Jenae got out of her sports car to take a picture with Joc and Avery, who LOVE her crown and think she is the most beautiful princess in the world.
Austin thinks so too..... she is in our ward now and the kids love to call her Miss Washington and act like they are famous because they know her.
The kids watching the parade with some friends, they yelled very loudly for Eric!

That night we went to the river for the fireworks.  Austin went on a date with some friends up Badger Mt. to watch all of Tricities fireworks.  He said it was fun and there were people all over setting them off so it was awesome to watch.
We ended the night doing a few in the backyard.  It was a good year with no car accidents or injuries.

 This reminded me of Scott.....

Mom's text:  I'll be home in 15 minutes, do you have your jobs done?
Picture text I got back......
Scott's text:  you might want to take the long way home.......

More stuff I have missed.

Us Dye ladies had a tea party.  It was so fun, my sister has 8 new kittens and the girls had so much fun playing with them.  My Mom made them all outfits!

I love my boys, such different personalities!  Poor/lucky Austin has been farming again this summer, I miss his face.
Eric had his big 14th bday and went to his first dance.
This is what he thinks he looks like, but the pic below is what he really looks like.

Marinda is getting us all prepared and ready for her 16th bday coming up in a week, she is pretty excited about it......
I never put pics up of our Luau party at my parents house.  It was right after we moved and I didn't have internet...... and as always there are just too many pics to post.  My Dad roasted a pig in the ground again, YUM.

Austin caught a bull snake, he pretended he was the crocodile hunter and acted just like him.
We planted grass........now we get to sit and watch it grow.......... it is really taking a long time..... its been almost an hour!
