Kids

Austin went to the stake dance. Our conversation when he got home.

Mom: How was it?

Austin: Good

Mom: I need details

Austin: I danced with three girls, Keri, Sam, and Michelle.

Mom: Why only three?

Austin: Well we were all just hanging out and talking and Tanner K. was there and we were thinking this week we would go to his house and watch The Dark Knight because Keri and Sam haven't seen it.

Mom: You, Tanner, Kerri, and Sam? Sounds like a double date, No can do.

Austin: Give me a break! Like it would be a double date Im not even 16 yet!

Mom: EXACTLY!

Austin: MOM!

Mom: NOPE, So no other info about the dance? Anything interesting? Did you keep the girls inline, tell them not to get too close or you would do some Kung Fu Panda moves on them.

Austin, (rolling his eyes) No, it was fun.

Mom: What would you do if a girl tried to kiss you?

Austin: Stop, Drop and Roll.

I love you Austin! :)

In church there was a little spider on the wall right next to Jocelyn. She came to the other end of the bench and got Avery and I looked over to see Joc show her the spider and Avery smash it with her finger. All of us giggled.

I LOVE modern appliances!

Well a month ago my dryer broke and I had lines going across my room, bathroom, and walk in closet to dry all my clothes for about a week until Scott was sick of walking through the spider web maze to get from his bed to the shower.
Now this week my washer died. We now have a new appreciation for clean clothes. I sort all the clothes and if it smells, its dirty, but if there is only one drip on it, its clean, anything you can flick off gets flicked off and its back in the drawer! mmmm yummy right! So I was washing things in the bath tub that Avery HAD to have by next morning and doing big loads like towels and things at Rochelles.
So we were hunting for a washer when my sink clogged. I took the whole under sink apart and got sprayed along with the whole kitchen. Then I cleaned all the pipes but couldn't find the plug. Scott came and did the same. It was a plug way back in the pipe after it left the house. So we had to call a plumber who could come the next day. It had been two days and the dishes were stacked so I told Scott to move all my clothes over in the bathtub so I could fit my dishes in. I got all my dishes done and cleaned the whole kitchen with the downstairs bathroom sink and the bathtub. I was going to take a picture with the girls in the tub along with clothes and dishes but didn't. So today I am thankful for washing machines (running right now) and sinks that drain!

Happy Birthday MEGAN!!! And shout out to Rebeca too! I hope your day is fantabulistic! Im very sorry Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett died on your b-day!

Happy Birthday Eric!

My sweet boy is 11! This year for his birthday he got to have Riley come stay the night, they went to petland, lowes to get material for bopper swords, and got to go to the skate park with his NEW PRO scooter! This one is supposed to hold up to his extreme riding style. ?? We will see. We had to run to FedEx this morning to pick it up because him and Riley couldn't wait until 3:00. I sound old, but these flat bill hats are so not cute! Eric and all his friends LOVE them!

We all went to Red Robin for shakes!

The cutest smile ever!

I was going through pics trying to find some of him and they ALL look like THIS! Happy, happy Eric! When I had Eric, Marinda was almost 2 and Austin was 3 1/2 so they took a lot of my time, they demanded it! But Eric was always so easy going and so happy! He never fussed and once he was old enough to do his own thing thats all he ever did. Just wondered around hanging out, he has always been good playing with the kids or by himself. He was definitely my easiest baby and toddler! I was watching my niece Paisley at my in-laws and she is that way too, it made me sad for a moment remembering how good he was, I should have squished him more! Being so busy with the three of them, the happy one got left out! :( Ill go squish him now! He loves that! :)

Always crazy happy!

We went to my parents house for a few hours, the girls got to ride on the ranger!
My Dad cut out wood for Austin's Eagle Project, thanks Dad!

We went to Gina's and the girls got their kitten fill! Her cat just had seven kittens!

And she is recovering from foot surgery. She had screws in her feet a few years ago and both her feet were hurting (they think the screws were moving) so she had all four of them taken out, this is one of the actual screws that was in there!

Father's Day

My Daddy, need I say more! Happy Father's Day Dad! I love you!

Happy Fathers Day to Scotty! Thanks for the wonderful Father you are! And to my Father-in-law Bob! I need a picture of him and Scott!

Where's the Sun!??

Mutual was in the park on Wed. it was supposed to be a fun slip and slide night but it was FREEZING! The wind was terrible, it was fun to slide down but then to stand there wet, looked not so fun! I was impressed with the leaders who went down, I know they were cold! :)

Sister Iverson

Scott and Br. Mitchell

Br. Call

Father and Sons was Friday night. They went up to Tiancum Timbers, here are some of the boys that hiked up the mt.
On Friday our sweet Cool Whip had a kitten, they named her Whip Cream but she didn't make it. The boys were already gone on their campout and so our fun girls night turned into a very sad night! After a while we went out for dessert and tried to drown our sorrows in chocolate!

It was an okay night, not as fun as it was going to be but we will let Cool Whip try one more time at a litter before we fix her.

Cub Scout Day Camp

Eric had so much fun at Day Camp this year, the theme was CSI. They had so many fun things going on. During the three days there was a crime that they had to solve and were getting clues each day. At the end the guilty man was arrested by real policemen and the kids thought it was awesome!

Scott saved me by teaching my class "fish autopsy" which looks so disgusting! :) Scott said there was at least one squeamish boy in each group that had to look away and go sit down and get some fresh air. What a mess, the boys loved it.

Here are the fish catchers! They helped out all day Wed. with the clue game. I think Austin enjoyed being a "volunteer" and snacking in the lounge! :)
Eric turns 11 on Monday so this is his LAST activity for CUB scouts and will moving into 11 yr. scouts.
His favorite classes at camp were the fish, of course, BB guns, finger printing, dissecting owl pellets, and swabbing his belly button and looking at it under the microscope. (yummy) He also thought the bomb squad and police dog demonstrations were awesome!

Last Week of School

Jocelyn graduated from kindergarten! She was so excited, one of their song's (go my son, go and climb the ladder) made me cry! She had been sad that she hadn't been picked for any student of the month awards through the year and she told me a couple weeks ago its not fair because she tries really hard to be good. The principle said this award was for the kids that showed respect and kindness the WHOLE year long. She was soooo excited! Yeah Jocelyn!

Austin graduated 8th grade, their graduation was LONG and HOT! He also got a citizenship award. One of our favorite things to do when the year is over is throw all our school things away but Austin's are all drawn on, so before I threw out the binders I took pictures of them.

Me and Rochelle and kids hiked up badger mt. wed. We went up a little bit before the YW went up and then took their picture. It really doesn't take long, we need to do it more often. Jocelyn only whined a little, all the kids were troopers.

While we were up the mt. the boys went fishing. They went out to catch fish for the class Scott is helping with at cub scout day camp this year. They caught 54 shad fish. They are going to do fish autopsies on them! Austin said they are gross fish, but it was fun to catch so many so fast. He thinks Br. Cazier is the most amazing fisherman in the world! He drops his line and within 60 seconds he has a fish!

Last day of school we went swimming at our friends house and the kids found a roasted dead baby snake on the cover of the pool.

Weekend Blast

We got Daniel for a couple hours on Thurs. hoping Stacy was having baby Sam but it didn't happen quite yet so we headed off to Avery's preschool graduation and Marinda's choir concert.

Class of 2022, WOW! Ms. Kristin and Ms. Julie really went wild this year with graduation! The kids all got a bag full of treats, a slide show of the year, and sang the cutest songs!

Friday was the big day Samantha decided to bless us with her arrival! She was just joking around on Thurs! Samantha Ann, 6 pounds 6 ounces! Too cute!

Marinda and Kylee, two very proud cousins! After seeing the new baby, we ran to Othello for graduation!

My nephew Patrick graduated, it was fun to be back at Othello High School! Then we went to Mary's house for a fun party and all the cousins were scheming and making plans!
My in-laws and two sister-in-laws share a yard (football field) so when we visit Grandma & Grandpa's there are instantly 13 grandkids in the yard! Along with Daniel and Kylie they had a huge tent, trampoline slumber party! They all ended up in the tent once it started raining and Joc and Avery ended up with me in Grandma's house around midnight and we all ended up having a fantastic breakfast at Ann's in the morning! The kids had a lot of fun!
Then we headed off to my parents house and played most the day. Nikolas did an excellent job keeping Jocelyn and Avery busy! Mom I need the picture!

Marinda and Eric had stayed with Ashton cousins to go to baseball games and so we went to Dena's to pick them up and the kids were doing tricks on the tramp. Then we finally headed home to be VERY tired and grumpy! :)

Jocelyn had a little run in with a tree while at Grandma Marty's. This week Jocelyn had found berries (that your not supposed to eat) I told her and Avery not to eat them. The next day Jocelyn ate some more, I was telling her I didn't know what they were and she could get sick and that she knew better because I had told her not to and she was disobeying. She started to cry and said "I always thought I was a good kid, but I guess Im just a bad one".
Sunday before church I took the rest of the kids to see the baby. She looks just like me! :) I always tease my brother in law about how cute Daniel is because he looks just like my kids!
Austin bore his testimony in church today and said "Im thankful for my new cousin, it was so fun to go see her, she is so tiny. It makes me want another baby sister". We got a lot of comments on that after sacrament.

Jacksen's Memorial Ride

The boys had their Jack Five ride to raise money for the music program. Eric was so excited to get to go with Scott. They had a good day!

Almost Summer

Gina and boys came to see the "Lady Washington" ship from the Pirates of the Caribbean. We tagged along, it was hot but fun!

Gina and Nikolas might be the biggest Johnny Depp fans on the planet, they stood right where he had stood.

I straightened Gina's hair, its so curly! I told her I wouldn't put this picture on my blog if I took it, but really, who could look this cute with ponies?! She painted all the girl's fingernails and toe nails (which is a lot!) and put flowers and stones on them. It was too cute. Then we all went to Marinda and Austin's play

They did so good, it was fun to see it all put together after all that work! Patrick and Nikolas cheered for Austin whenever he turned the lights on or off. The kids are going to miss practice with all their friends and teachers.

Jocelyn had her end of year picnic and loved showing Avery around the classroom and telling her all about what she has to look forward to next year in kinder.

It's not your birthday.....yet!

Avery got to have an unbirthday party at school for her summer b-day.

Cool Whip thinks she is the princess of the house, get in line cat.

For those who want to know, Jocelyn, Avery, and Chance are NOT that great at helping with yard projects.
But they are really good at projects like this......whatever it is!??

Long boring jabbering ahead.

Some of my friends had such a good time at womans conference this year and some just went on a weekend getaway of fun. I was looking at all the pictures and hearing stories and I thought...why don't I ever go on girl trips? The only time I leave the kids is when I go somewhere with Scott. I have sitters now so I can run errands alone if I need to so I never feel that feeling of "stuck"! Scott told me this year to go to Womens conference with all my friends but I just couldn't do it. I keep thinking when the kids get older, but I think its getting harder to go as they get older. I think Im just a brat and don't like to have someone else, especially Scott, take care of my kids. Scott is an excellent dad I wouldn't worry about them, they would be fine, but I just don't think I could let him do my stuff. The kids are my stuff. So Im too controlling I guess when it comes to my kids. Hearing stories about other dads with their kids for the weekend while mom is gone makes me think I am making my kids and Scott miss out on father/kid time.
I remember a long time ago Bishop (he was Tom back then) stopped by on a walk with the kids and I said, where is your Mom and they said "oh its Terri time". We all laughed and then some time after that when Scott would need to run to the store and all the kids wanted to go with him, he would say are you coming and I would say, Ill stay and have Terri time. We never changed the name, its always called Terri time now. But even when they run errands and Im alone at home I think of all the things I need to tell them. So I will call and hear them laughing in the background and say "what are you laughing for, whats so funny" I totally feel like Im missing out on something and wish I would have gone with them. So its totally fine that Im just not one of those women that need a lot of girl time but I hope Im not hurting the kids and Scott by taking over all the time and not letting them have time "without me". ??? Hmmm even the sound of that "without me" makes me cringe. I need counseling.
