Eric was doing a wheely on the long paved road going to Dena's on his dirt bike and biffed it. He had a gooey cut and he wouldn't let me clean it out (I didn't mind) so I took him to the Dr. This smiling picture is after he was numb. While they were pulling all the rocks and gravel out of his hand they noticed his other wrist begining to swell so they x-rayed it and they said it was fractured. SO for the next 5 days I had to keep him from getting both wrapped hands wet (no doing dishes and watering the pigs) and try to get him to take it easy. Without pills Im not sure how you do that with boys? Anyways we went back in to get it cast and they said its healing great, the compound fracture in his growth plate looked great and it would be fine to just keep it splinted and not mess up his muscles by casting for 6 weeks. They said he could even play football if he kept the splint on for the first couple weeks. So he was a little disappointed to not have a PINK cast but he knew he would have only liked it for about a day!

Sweet baby Cassidy!
Marinda was sad she didn't get to go see her at the hospital (she loves to see babies in the hospital) but she had fun hugging her at Megans! Megan is so lucky to have these sweet THREE helpers! Its fun to watch. :)
This picture makes me feel many things happy/sad/nervous/sweet/yikes/really?
There is definately a plan involved when Heavenly Father chose a mother and a father to raise his children. I know in my opinion kids should just sit still and not move and then we would all be happy but father's tend to go a different route.
I was watching the bull riding chanel at my Moms with my parents and Eric and his wrapped hands. There was a commercial showing all these dangerous, wild stunts and flashing cool words on the screen and making it seem like adrenalin and crazy was such a must for a real man! I said "DO YOU SEE, its commercials like that that make boys want to do crazy things, why can't they say, Sit still and don't try anything, its cool!" ??? My Mom said, what girl would like a boy like that? Thanks Mom for the support! I guess I did fall in love with a crazy man myself but why does he have to let my kids do these things? Jocelyn has been begging to ride. He took her out and talked with her about how to ride, let her drive him around for a bit (which was cute to see on this tiny bike) and then let her go......
I was pacing around the kitchen saying things like, "really after I spent the day in the ER with Eric, AND had to get high blood pressure watching him NOT sit still all week while you were off in Canada on a bike ride AND you want to let my tiny baby girl do this? Then ........ she proudly rode up to the back door and stopped the bike gracefully (almost) and looked up with that adorable smile and gave me the thumbs up.

Okay its a little cute, her in those fox racing pants! Im glad I have a husband to teach my kids things I would NEVER let them do...........even if he leaves me with the dirty work.
I mean how would Marinda ever learn how hard it is to eat rice pudding with a helmet on!???
