FIRST Day of School!

Yesterday was a crazy day!  These three rode the bus to school. (Marinda putting on her lip gloss, the boys saying "really?")

Austin Sophomore, Rin 8th grade, Eric 6th grade
Then these two got ready and I took them in to meet their teachers and get their school supplies unloaded.
 Jocelyn 2nd       Avery 1st
Then after dropping the girls off, I went to the high school to pick up Austin to take him to Tricities to his last Ortho apt.
Wow, its so weird to see him with teeth!  He is loving it!  They gave him a bag full of sticky candy he hasn't been eating all this time and then a bag of dental supplies to brush all the sugar out!  :)

As I was SAD, thinking of how big these three are getting I realized..........
at least some things are the same!

Bikes

Eric was doing a wheely on the long paved road going to Dena's on his dirt bike and biffed it.  He had a gooey cut and he wouldn't let me clean it out (I didn't mind) so I took him to the Dr.  This smiling picture is after he was numb.  While they were pulling all the rocks and gravel out of his hand they noticed his other wrist begining to swell so they x-rayed it and they said it was fractured.  SO for the next 5 days I had to keep him from getting both wrapped hands wet (no doing dishes and watering the pigs) and try to get him to take it easy.  Without pills Im not sure how you do that with boys?  Anyways we went back in to get it cast and they said its healing great, the compound fracture in his growth plate looked great and it would be fine to just keep it splinted and not mess up his muscles by casting for 6 weeks.  They said he could even play football if he kept the splint on for the first couple weeks.  So he was a little disappointed to not have a PINK cast but he knew he would have only liked it for about a day!

Sweet baby Cassidy!
Marinda was sad she didn't get to go see her at the hospital (she loves to see babies in the hospital) but she had fun hugging her at Megans!  Megan is so lucky to have these sweet THREE helpers!  Its fun to watch.  :)

This picture makes me feel many things happy/sad/nervous/sweet/yikes/really?
There is definately a plan involved when Heavenly Father chose a mother and a father to raise his children.  I know in  my opinion kids should just sit still and not move and then we would all be happy but father's tend to go a different route.
I was watching the bull riding chanel at my Moms with my parents and Eric and his wrapped hands.  There was a commercial showing all these dangerous, wild stunts and flashing cool words on the screen and making it seem like adrenalin and crazy was such a must for a real man!  I said "DO YOU SEE, its commercials like that that make boys want to do crazy things, why can't they say, Sit still and don't try anything, its cool!" ???  My Mom said, what girl would like a boy like that?  Thanks Mom for the support!  I guess I did fall in love with a crazy man myself but why does he have to let my kids do these things?  Jocelyn has been begging to ride.   He took her out and talked with her about how to ride, let her drive him around for a bit (which was cute to see on this tiny bike) and then let her go......
I was pacing around the kitchen saying things like, "really after I spent the day in the ER with Eric, AND had to get high blood pressure watching him NOT sit still all week while you were off in Canada on a bike ride AND you want to let my tiny baby girl do this?  Then ........ she proudly rode up to the back door and stopped the bike gracefully (almost) and looked up with that adorable smile and gave me the thumbs up.
Okay its a little cute, her in those fox racing pants!  Im glad I have a husband to teach my kids things I would NEVER let them do...........even if he leaves me with the dirty work.

I mean how would Marinda ever learn how hard it is to eat rice pudding with a helmet on!???

Art Skills

Have you ever played on the computer in the paint program?  My kids love to, they make me beautiful pictures all the time.  I remember in school in computer class having to make a picture using a list of shapes and tools.  Suzy made the most beautiful picture of a mountain, and a lake with a sail boat.  I was amazed,  mine looked like the picture above.   The other day I looked over at what Austin was making and about fell over, HOW can he do that!???  And in like 5 minutes!  I have no artistic ability whatsoever so Im enjoying watching my kids have skills.  They get it from my Mom, and Suzy.  :)

Oh and motorcycles are stupid.  Eric broke his arm.

Happy B-day Princess Avery!

Avery turns 6!  We decided to do a princess party for Avery (her and Joc told me I have never had a 'friends' b-day party for them before) SO Rin and I worked on this cake for way too long and had so much fun!  We got to make party bags, put strings on glasses and wands, worked more on the cake, decorating the table and wrapping the presents all cute, and working on the cake.  It was a lot of fun!  Did you see how cute the cake is Avery?  Oh, about you, YOU are hilarious and we are so happy you get to be our baby forever!  You make us laugh everyday, Gina gave you a huge bag of candy and your friend said what is that?  You said "a bag of awesomeness!"

Your princess friends at your party!
Your big cousin Brandon helping all the girls put together the new toys.  Today was Shirley's b-day and my parents Anniv but I will post that tomorrow.

Monday Megan went in to have her baby but things didn't go as planned and she didn't get her until today!  On Avery's b-day, but I got to go in Monday and hang out while we waited for a bit!  I tried not to be annoying but I just can't help it, the yoga ball and the gloves were calling my name!  I wonder why she said she doesn't like to have visitors until after the baby comes?!!!!  :)  Congrats Megan on your sweet baby Cassidy!

Silverwood!

I didn't take my camera in the park so we took a picture on the road right before we got there!  We had so much fun, the Iverson's, Knight, and Yorgesens were there.  We hardly saw anyone but the kids found each
other a few times for rides.
Eric tried so hard to be cool for the pic, sorry buddy, you still look terrified!  :)
There was one too many of us so Scott gladly sat out on this ride!  Then he went to the side and put money in the sprayer and got us ALL WET!

My poor baby!  Avery and Joc really wanted to go on a rollercoaster so we did...... Avery screamed and I asked if she liked it and she said "no" but walked with the kids to the line of another one!?  I said your going on another one?  And she said sure???  So this is the picture from the next one, I stayed with Joc discussing how it was different than what she thought it was going to be.  :)

We were smart this time and brought many changes of clothes, we were SO cold when the sun went down!  Poor Avery's teeth chattered all the way to the car!  We havent been here for years, I was pregnant the last time so I had fun going on rides!

Random

Back to school ID tags for my primary kids!  :)
The kids have loved watching all the wheat fields being burned.

I was sitting out back on the porch when three ninja's came running towards me......
Showing their ninja skills, I really thought it was Eric ........

Ashtyn, Rin, and Callie!???!!!  Crazy girls.
The kids went to a 4H meeting slip and slide party!
This picture reminds me of the song "Just a bunch of country kids having fun down on the farm" I don't listen to country very often, so I probably got it all wrong.  :)
