Spring

Finally we had a warm day!  Last week the kids had early release all week and we got to go bike riding along the river!  It was SO nice!  Im looking forward to the warm weather...... coming soon I hope!!!
The Stephensen family came to town for Beau's reception.  We are all so happy for him, not only the wedding but for his new alblum that just got released onto itunes.  Austin and Keri went out Saturday, then had fun seeing all the old 2nd warders and then 8th warders.  Little sisters are so adorable, Jocelyn's face cracks me up!
I didn't get pics of the first group of kids but I got this one!  They had such a good time eating ice cream cones and dancing..... and giggling.
The girls some how talked me into getting school pics for them.
They love thier new classes and both have friends from church in their classes.
Jocelyn is looking too grown up!  :(
She is loving having Shanee in her class.  They were good friends way back in 8th ward before they took the 3rd ward people back to 3rd.

Helpless

I have been laughing at myself lately!   I notice that when Scott is gone I can do anything but when he comes around, I all of a sudden become helpless.  Back in the day when he was gone ALL the time I would take all the kids to ward parties, barbq's, famiy get togethers, the park, church, everything!  When I had tiny ones I would be able to get them all ready and take care of all of them and get so much done, go so many places, be superwoman!  Then Scott comes around...... I all of a sudden can't move, can't get off the chair!  I will be at a ward party and I SIT and say "Scott will you get Avery a plate"  "Can you go see what Joc is doing"  "Will you go get my purse out in the car"  "will you get me more juice"????  It's pathetic!  It's like Im completely broken and I can't do anything myself.  I can even see myself doing it and I can't stop.  So funny.  Im going to work on that.

Thankheavens I have such a tiny, shallow sink.  It makes me keep up on the dishes because there is nowhere for them to get piled up.

March

Today Show!  We got to be on TV.  Rin got to be on the most, I can't get the video on here but here is a bad picture of us, see Rin with her coat, we are all around her.  Then later in the show she was sitting on Scott's shoulders and it flashed on her 3 times!  So exciting!  We went back to Bob & Ann's and watched us.  It was snowing and SO cold!
We got to see where Bob & Ann serve their mission.
Scott and his Mom

We stopped on the way to my Grandma's house to see Micheal Scott at the Office!  :)

While my Mom had my girls we called and talked to them.  They had taken some movies to watch with my Mom, including Romona and Beezus.  She said "we are doing good, just sitting here watching Beezus and Butthead".    :)
Austin made this on the computer, in his 2D animation class

My Grandma turns 90 today!  Happy Birthday Grandma!

We went to visit Justin the other day!  He is so cute, we miss him!  Keely and Seth are so NICE to keep him for us!
Austin got into a fight with a chicken.
The kids ran around the farm playing with him, he was very happy!
Marinda had a going away party right before we moved.  She is missing her awesome friends and cousin's in Othello!
We went to the park and the girls kept taking their coats off, it was so cold so I told them they had to sit next to me if they took it off again.  They climbed up the rock and took their coats off and said "we want to see you try to put us in time out now!"  Bad girls!

More pics!

On Sunday we went to church with Bob & Ann and then went walking around Central Park.  It was so pretty, I bet it's gorgeous in the spring, summer, and fall!
We went out to the Statue of Liberty, we walked up to the base of it and the kids had fun looking out over the city.  We didn't spend much time outside of the buildings, because of the wind!
Oh look there is the Statue of Liberty behind Scott's head.  (I won't mention who took our picture, Stephen) It's okay though, it was so windy and that guy wouldn't move so it wouldn't have been that great of a pic anyways!  :)
And I got a good one of Korbi and Rin.  We didn't got to Ellis Island because the kids weren't dressed warm enough, I wish we would have though, because my Great Grandma's (that I stayed with that summer in 6th grade) signature was on the list of those who came over from Poland!
The boys thought the Apple store was super cool!  All made out of glass, the elevator and stairs, entire building AND it was under ground!
The kids attempted to make deals in China Town, they were so funny!  Eric with his dimples and sweet smile would say "how bout 3$?" the vendors would say "NO" and Eric would smile and giggle and say "okay, I'll pay $5".  This guy was awesome and felt bad for my kids and helped them make deals (him still getting a good deal of course).  My kids loved him.
We went to the Guggenheim museum.  Austin really enjoyed it, the building its self is awesome.  Austin, Scott, and Eric went through it.  Rin and I sat down in the lobby and waited. not minding getting to sit for a minute.  The kids kept making fun of Eric because he would get the "kid" price and they were always "adults" when it came time to pay.  He was free at the museum and hated that they called him a kid!
Still more pics to come.

Yesterday I was doing laundry in the living room and the kids were trying to walk through and I said "get out of my laundry room, your knocking over my piles"  Austin laughed and said I thought your laundry room was the kitchen? (my washer and dryer are in the kitchen).  Needless to say we are all in the living room/kitchen which works as the tv room/laundry room/homework room/toy room from 3-9 every night, snug as a bug in a rug!

We were heading to the car to run an errand and Avery was crying because she hurt her self and Jocelyn said "we can worry about it later, lets go".  Compassion is our FHE lesson this week.

New York!

The kids were so funny on the plane!  The giggled almost the entire 5 1/2 hour flight!  They loved that the ladies brought pop and snacks to them 3 times!  Marinda got stuck in the bathroom and couldn't get the door to open.  They enjoyed every little bit of the experience!  Every time I turned around they were in different seats, they had it clocked out so each got to sit in each seat (isle, window) for the same amound of time.
As soon as we got off the plane Bob picked us up and we went to the apt. to drop off our luggage, and then jump on the subway to head straight to Madison Square Garden to the Knicks game.
After sleeping that night for five minutes we jumped in Bob's truck and headed to Berkshire to see my Grandma Bean!  It was Feb. 17th. my 36th birthday and the best birthday ever!
She was everything a girl would want in a Grandma!  Perfect!
I got to see so many cousin's neices, nephews, aunt, uncle.... it was awesome!  My Aunt Marie brought down cake and my Grandma and everyone sang happy bday to me.
Three of my cousin's, Christie, Amy, and Jessica.  That night we all went to Christie's for dinner and more cake for me!  We stayed that night at Christie and Jeff's house, it was fun getting to know them, the kids had so much fun playing in the snow and on the wii.  They were excited to know they had a bunch of family all the way across the country!  I want to go back!
Then we headed back to the city.  We loved walking around and checking it all out, it was freezing!  The first two days were warm and then it was SO cold the rest of the time!  I hardly took any pictures because my fingers were too cold.  Im a baby but it was like chill your bones cold.  I think it was the humidity that made it worse than usual cold.  Rin forgot a coat......?  Eric only had a sweatshirt, I really did tell them it was cold and to pack well.....?  I guess they are all still little enough I need to check their bags.
This was the ferry ride out to the Statue of Liberty.  It was warm and toasty in here!  Stephen, Korbi, and her brother were there also visiting Bob & Ann.  Korbi was very prepared and dressed like an eskimo!  Bob was wearing sandals.......
More pics to come.

Squished!

We did it, we squished our family into a 3 bedroom apartment!  It's only been a week but it's been heaven!  We have talked a LOT more than usual, we have all been geographically closer in all that we do!  No one has alone time, it kinda feels the way you feel when your camping.  It is good.  So far.  We went to 6th ward and it was awesome!  They lost a lot of youth in the split and were happy to have us.  8th ward was in the same building right after us and so we got to see a bunch of them too!  It was a great day!
We are so lucky to have awesome friends that helped us out and took Austin in as their own while we were trying to find a house.  He had so much fun with the Iverson's, I made him a little taller than Jory but I think it's still the other way around.  :)
The Moon's spoiled him and made him spaghetti taco's and gave him his own room.  The office doors were glass so they made these posters for him to put over them.  He was a little sad to come back and live with us after being taken such good care of at these houses!  But we are all very happy he is home!
